The Foreign Friend is a reference Guest House in Lisbon. With an impeccable welcome from its owners, we felt like we were at home. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, immaculate, all very nice.

The manager was super helpful and friendly with us. It made us quite comfortable with the guest house and with all the common rooms. The room, besides being spacious and bright, was super tidy and clean. Despite the short stay, we still enjoy the fantastic interior balcony of the apartment!

I used to live in Lisbon, and I still miss it. Staying in foreign friends was like living in Lisbon again. The place is simply but beautifully decorated, the hosts made us feel at home (thanks Fatima!) And the location is premium. Our stay was very comfortable and pleasant, in a very traditional Lisbon

A great tour. Guide was a foodie and hooked us up with all the right experiences that we were looking for. Communicated very promptly over the email. I booked this last minute and was very pleased with the back and forth email to set it up to meet our needs.

This was much more than what we expected - fantastic day trip!! Our tour included Fatima, Batalha Monastery, Nazare & Obidos. We had plenty of time at each location - never felt rushed. We even had time to shop! Joao suggested a fantastic traditional Portuguese restaurant in Nazare for lunch - scrumptious . Joao was very nice and kept us well-informed. When I inquired about the day trip, Joao was quick in responding and even recommended and coordinated our plans in Porto with a colleague of his. Want to go back to Portugal - a BEAUTIFUL country!!

Joao was amazing! I had booked a half day tour to sintra for mom and I but we were having such a great time in the first few hours that we decided to turn it into a full day tour and were lucky enough that Joao had availability! We went to sintra and cascais then back to lisbon stopping in cabo da Roca, Belem, and other beautiful spots along the way. I took amazing pictures and felt more in love with Portugal and its people during this tour. Joao is very intelligent and knowledgeable, he knows a lot about portuguese culture and history. He is kind and professional, very easy and pleasant to talk to, my 55 yr old mother and I equally enjoyed his tour and company. His car was very comfortable and clean, he was on time and didnt rush us. You can tell he truly enjoys what he does. Looking forward to booking other tours with Joao when we come back to Lisbon! Thank you for everything!!!

Joao was a fun guide for our day in Lisbon and Sintra. He was a good driver, knowledgeable about the places to go and what edible treats to try. He had a great sense of humor and understood what Americans like. We made the most of a very windy and wet day. We shared a great lunch with him and we saw some beautiful sites. I would definitely hire him again!
